Physiotherapy

Objective of the Programme

To supplement the programme at A. C. Graham Development Centre where children with physical challenges receive the specialized care they need.

How the Programme Works

The Barbados government runs an excellent physiotherapy programme for children with physical challenges at the A. C. Graham Development Centre. The success of the programme is overshadowed by the long waiting list which exists because the needs of the island’s children greatly exceed the level of service afforded by the Government’s limited budget.

VARIETY ASSISTS BY FUNDING THE SERVICES OF TWO ADDITIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPISTS FOR UP TO 30 HOURS PER MONTH.

The specialists at the A. C. Graham Centre integrate these additional sessions into their basic calendar thus increasing their capacity to help children in need.
